oh the thought of that shiny new Zed on the drive. 8) Congratulations. Ordered mine towards the end of March and it arrived at the dealership at the end of April. It was an existing build slot which hadn't been locked so I was able to spec the car how I wanted it.dr_john said:

Boyo, I went to 2 main dealers and asked the IOM Green question.
Both gave the same answer, they weren’t aware of anything and said that colour was only offered on M models at present, unless it was ordered as a custom job at £2k+

Aha! That’ll be the colour I saw and posted in the spotted thread about. Looked really nice in green, almost as nice as Thundernight

8 week lead time seems really good for a z4 as most other make / models are way beyond that at the moment. But Z4's are low volume so probably about right. They should be able to narrow that down once (assuming it hasn't already) been given a factory build slot allocation and then know when to expect in port. You can ask the dealer if a build slot has been allocated yet, this will give you some assurance as to how accurate that estimate may be. Either way, good luck, and congrats.

Black with a white interior may sound a bit bling but looks great in reality, at least in the configurator and in a used model on the dealers forecourt. There isn’t a lot of choice of colours.
I also specced the technology pack. HUD, Harmon Kardon, etc are a must for me. I may well change the radiator grille for a plain black one instead of the chrome surround that it comes with after delivery.
I got a good price for my current G29, equating to a £12k depreciation over 4 years.
A slight niggle on that though, they say that they will lock the price when delivery is 4 weeks away but until then it is subject to variation due to market demand. I could let them have it now TBH and share my wife’s Audi A3 but the temptation of roof down driving in the good weather we are going to have is too much
