Hi there,

Long time lurker first time poster... introducing zookoo to the world! I've wanted a BMW roadster since they created the Z3... finally had the chance to own one... and went for the 1st gen z4. Something about the looks and the old school ragtop that does it for me.

A few things about her... She's an 08 2.5SI. I don't know the name of the colour but it is the deepest darkest blue.... not black.

Brought her home yesterday after driving 4 hours straight and she ate up the miles.

I think I am addicted already.

A few things I'll need to do soon...

- A little bit of roadrash which is bothering me - I want her 100% pristine. Does anyone know of a good mobile chip remover in London?
- stubby aerial.
- fit a decent aftermarket bluetooth
- And if I can't get used to the nose length, some damn parking sensors.

Are there any other "must have" mods you would reco?

... and some advice.

I'm loving driving her but cannot get used to the length of the nose when turning at junctions... I keeping having to creep insanely far forwards to check the road is clear and by then half the car is sticking out!!! How did you guys get used to this?

Welcome to the forum... lovely looking Z
Re nose length... practice and it depend alot n the length of the bonnet on previous car

Nice looking car you must be very pleased with it. Don't worry about the bonnet length you will soon get used to it.

Welcome to the forum. Thats definitely Monaco Blue and you have a facelift Gen 1 Z4 with your 08 plate.
Any interior shots? Looks red from your picture but thats a massive guess!

Thanks guys for the welcome!

Happy to oblige an interior shot...

Not quite as exotic as red, but quite classic I think. Radio was tuned into classic FM when I bought it... wonder what it says about the previous owner :)

Auto box I think is a controversial choice, but I drove both the manual and the auto and actually the auto suits the nature of the car perfectly...

Sports seats
Wood dash and trim will have a few people commenting. If you ever grow tired its a relatively easy job to wrap or replace.

Hi Zook and welcome.I thought the nose length was ok for me until I misjudged how close I was to my house and bang.Easy repair for me being a Smart Repairer so if you need someone to look at your car let me know.Where abouts in London are you?

Different Zed with the wood interior and auto on a 2.5. (how many miles on it?)

Should make a nice relaxing cruiser as well as fun when wound up.

Welcome to the Forum.

:driving:

Must remember this Lynchy. I have history of occasional car ding stupidity

Looks good. And another vote for Monaco Blue

Wood trim isn't to my taste, but it's not my car. Glad you like it :driving:

Those wheels are the best for the roadster
