Hi all,
Introducing myself here! I'm a fellow named Johannes living on the other side of the canal, in the small country called Belgium. I've been following the Z4-forum for a while new and finally opened an account, given the purchase of my precious car.
About a year ago I did my first lap as a passenger on the Nürburgring and I instantly fell in love with track racing. Back then I didn't have the car neither the money to buy one, I've never forgotten the thrill of driving the Green Hell.
Over the last year I've returned to the Ring a couple of times and I've driven laps in a VW Scirocco, a Z4 3.0 and a Z4MR. I've also managed to save some money and a few weeks ago I decided that the time would be right to buy a Z4MC end of this year / beginning of next year, when people offer winter sales. As you might imagine, things always go faster then expected , and I ended up buying my M a week ago
The buying experience was great. I found a real petrolhead near Frankfurt, Germany, who used the Z4M for weekend trips with his wife (an ex automotive journalist)! The guy picked me up in his exclusive Porsche 964 RS when I arrived at the train station, and he wasn't afraid to show me the potential of his Porsche
.
After 2 days of ownership I decided I had to try the car on the Ring, to see how it feels. The drive was great
, very solid and stable on the track. Only the brakes could be better - they started smoking after every hot lap
. An upgrade is already planned...
I didn't yet manage to give the car a proper wax, so you'll have to live with 2 pictures the friendly photographers around the Nurburgring shot of my car in action. More pictures will follow in the next weeks.
Planned upgrades:
