New Z4MC Owner

Hi All,

Just thought I would introduce myself, I am Bert (real name Lee - long story) from east Manchester - I am sure I will already know some of you from the zroadster (.org & .net) forums.

Having had Z3s for the past 10 years and still owning a Z3M I found myself needing to scratch a long standing itch for a Z4 Coupe so after a bit of searching I managed to find a great Z4M Coupe through a friend of mine who is a local car dealer. The moment I started to drive it I knew that I had to buy it so a deal was done and she arrived in my possession this week.

It is a 2007 model, shes in pretty good condition, a few modifications which I like but nothing too drastic, front and rear splitters, bespoke exhaust, Eventuri intake upgrade, silver with red leather. FSH and lots of dealer receipts - she certainly looks better than most 15 year old cars with 94K on the clock.

I have already found a number of useful articales on the forum which have helped me with connecting the bluetooth and fixing the one touch window operations and I am sure there will be many more requests for help and guidance as I find out all about ownership.

I look forward to meet some of you (old and new) on any forthcoming events!!

Welcome to the forum. :) Beautiful Z4 you found there. Though the wheels are a smidgen too big for my personal taste. Love the front and rear splitters.

Pictures of your Z3M would be appreciated. 8)

Welcome to the forum! And points for pic's in first post. Hope you have many smiles and miles in your ride.

Hi Lee, welcome to the forum and to Z4M Coupe ownership.

Those splitters look great. I know CSL wheels really suit Z4s, but so many Z4s have some version of them I sold the CSL Reps mine had when I bought it and have gone back to OE Style 224s.

And if you have any photos of your Z3M I'm sure we'd all love to see that too.

I think I remember one of the owners of your car (the guy who did all the mods to it) from the Z4 Facebook group. I think his name was 'Wayne' if you want to look it up.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and kind words - Ive already booked on a couple of events so hopefully I will meet you all either via this site or another soon. As requested here are some pictures of my current Z3M - it is 1998 and is pretty OEM - only done 48K and has been garaged for nearly all its life.

I have had the Z3M above since Nov 2019 - previously to that I had this one - this was a bit marmite to some with the complete changes of the interior and the bodykit but it was a little bit special - it was the first ever Z3M in the Uk and was used by Top Gear by Tiff Needall against a TVR in Feb 1998... I had it for 5 years before losing control on the A9 at Perth after a weekend meet in Scotland - I wasnt going that fast at the time, literally only pulled away from the traffic lights (that you can see in the background) but it was lashing down and I spun on oil on the dual carriageway - anyway it was unfortunately written off but I bought it back and now a friend is converting it into a Ferrari 250 kit car.
