New Z4MC owner in Australia

Hi Everyone,

Longtime lurker but now happy to report am a proud owner of a silver grey beast. Have lusted after one since 2006 and waited for depreciation to allow me to realise my dream.

A rare beast in Australia since when new you could buy five Ford Focuses for the price of one Z4MC....only 103 were sold here and in eight years I have only seen three others!

The beast came with a Strongstrut strut brace and ipod integration, which was nice.

So far I have fitted a stubby, Stormwerks gear knob and a clutch stop, with some more subtle and some less subtle mods to follow.

Really appreciate all the advice gleaned so far from this site and look forward to learning yet more.
Cheers

Hi and welcome! There's been the odd Aussie Z4MC owner on here but I'm not sure if they are still owners or not. Good to have another on board

hello and welcome. 103 is very exclusive

have you come across my daughter Toni? she is back packing out in Aus at the moment

Thanks for the comments guys, I will try and post a clean photo one day!

Hi Taz, hope your daughter packed her sunscreen when in Western Australia...please see below pic from January. Do I have the hottest Z4M recorded?!

Welcome to the forum stayfrosty. Lovely looking MC and super rare beast in Oz
More pics please!

welcome, always good to see another M in aus  Where abouts are you (looks like Perth too going by the fleetwood mac poster?)

Great looking coupe, Best choice of colour!

looking at that temperature makes me wonder if the cooling system is the same? is the rad the same size etc

Hi Jaw

Nice to see a fellow owner in Perth! I am in the Western Suburbs. I have never seen an M roadster before they must be even rarer over here than the coupes! Funnily enough I saw an Interlagos blue M coupe in Wembley today, my first Z4M spot for nearly a year and it was probably the same car before as well!

Hi Taz,
Not sure on that, good question. I guess the cooling is well tested for all extremes of temperature, just look at the American market - one country but Texan heat and Alaskan cold and everywhere inbetween.

I can report that my car was fine in the heat and did not play up, and the aircon kept me comfortable inside. An unusually hot day!

Ah sweet, I'm just South of the river :) apparently they are slightly, but then I'm yet to see any M Coupe's either! Be interesting to see where all the M's hide over in WA!

Another Ozzie checking in here, though living abroad in Dubai atm. Very nice looking coupe, specs please, inside pics and what mods do you have in mind? Love the Coupe!! Congrats on the Acquisition. They are an awesome beast, almost as elusive as Drop-bears.

Never even considered going topless, it was love at first sight when I first saw a Z4MC back in 2006. Then years of following the slow path of depreciation until I could get my hands on one!

I am sure all the roadster owners out there never considered buying the coupe either?! If you are anything like me your mind was made up immediately!
