New Z4MC owner - Comparison from E46 M3

That's something that is taking some getting used to - the weight of the steering is really strange having driven a 3.0 for two and a half years. In a good way. But I do find myself correcting more whilst driving it right now - heavier, but more sensitive if that makes sense ?
The steering in the Z4MR is indeed very accurate and weighted well, the test drives I had in the M135i the steering was lighter but very fast and the turn in seemed sharper too. Both actually very different cars. The Z4MR also felt quicker in terms of outright grunt, but that may just be the low down impression one gets. Will see once it arrives...
I too went from an SMG E46 M3 (convertible) to Z4MC, the MC is much more special, much more rare, and much quirkier. No rasp on the exhaust at all, and I think it lacks a bit of noise, hence me fitting Remus back boxes that give it greater volume which I think its looks demand! I'm now on CSL reps too as I can't stand the OE wheels...
The E46 M3 is a great all rounder, you can take it on track or down to the shops, it does everything so well, and I always thought the ride was incredibly comfortable for a high performance car, it was like a limo compared to other performance cars I've owned. The Z4MC does have a much harder ride, plus a pretty notchy gearbox but those looks! :wub: :wub: Well worth upgrading to!
