Thought it was time I stopped lurking and posted up after reading up on a fair bit of essential pre-purchase info on this forum!
This week I've put down my deposit on a rather nice Interlagos Blue Z4M Coupe with the Champagne leather interior, only problem is that I'll be waiting 2-3 weeks to collect it whilst the DVLA and dealership sort out the cherished plate assignment.
I've been looking into a Z4MC for quite some time, and having now sold my previous daily driver after 5 years (Audi A2) and lost my self-built track car (SEAT Arosa) in a 'rather severe' accident at Schwedenkreuz on the Nurburgring at Easter (regulars do have accidents too..!) now seemed the right time to take the plunge.
Being new to BMW, and having a RWD car of my own rather than driving various random track-hacks, I'll be mainly breaking even on my jahreskarte at the 'ring this year with rentals so as to not endanger the new vehicle of choice!
Quick summary of the additionals on the car:
PDC
Pro Nav
Logic 7 HiFi
Cruise Control
Heated Seats
Bluetooth with Telematics
..and last, but certainly not least, Storage Pack
Whilst I await collection I'll be driving my old 1985 MK3 Escort with 34K on the clock, just to enhance my levels of anticipation further!
Here's to many years of enjoyable motoring ahead
