As I plan the changes/ mods / enhancements for my new Z4MC, the list just gets bigger and bigger :D

Here's my thoughts so far, broken down (currently) in to lLikes things that could work but not a priority), Wants ((important to me but not priority) and Needs ( things that if I don't do my life will not be worth living ) :x

Likes - window tints, carbon parts, roof wrap, aero spoiler, splitters
Wants - aero skirts, exhaust upgrade, paint correction/ detailing, headlight improvement
Needs - 19' wheels, lowered suspension, sort paintwork scuffs/ marks

Anything else suggested ?

It's a growing list though :P

Tim

I was the same when i putchased my ZM earlier in the year , quickly formulated a list of 4 major needs/wants & filed them in order alloys/exhaust/induction/aeroskirts so a possible total of £2750/£3000 :o

19s were on within 2 weeks
exhaust has taken longer as i want more noise but no drone , should be completed late July http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=76562
induction/Intake / not doing anything until exhaust is on
Aeros / last on list as these i can live without ( although a nice addition  )

What is the aero spoiler on your list Tim ?

OIL CHANGE EVERY 6k

And budget for a new head gasket and having the bearing shells changed at some point to reduce the potential for a huge outlay in the future.

Are your bearing shells worn,is the engine noisy, how would you check this without dropping the sump?

You cant...

But the S54 does wear the shells....its inherent with the design of the engine.

All of the S engines have a small rod bearing surface area for piston size, the thrust on the crank is high, especially at high RPM and max load conditions.

Mine weren't worn when they were swapped at 50k miles
