New z4m

ugh... if there is, i dont want to hear it.. 8)

try the other forum, should have been mentioned there.. i dont ever go.. :tumbleweed:

btw.. i mean here: http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=23

just because my car still gives me the stunning feeling it did when i was first handed the keys.. every single journey is monuMENTAL.. ..

I don't want to hear about the new one, in case I eventually start lusting after it, which may take the shine off driving mine. Not that news will actually surface though, for about 2yrs as a guess..

New Z4 looks a bit too civilised for me and if they do a Z4M it will be £50K+ with a decent spec . 4 litre twin turbo might be fun though :)

The ongoing theory is that a E89 Z4M would be fitted with the E9X M3 V8 engine but it is not fitting in the E89 chassis, so no Z4M with that engine. However, the wizards at the M division could come up with something different. Considering the habitual price premium for the M version the Z4M would be right into the M3 price range. Would that be a good business model? :idunno:

If the 35i is going to produce 0-60 times of near 5 seconds and cost well specced £35-£40K then any 'M' is going to have to be something very different to tempt buyers. Maybe they could go the way that Merc did with the 'Black' SLK and do a fixed head lightweight car with an uprated 35i engine putting out 350-370 BHP weighing 100 Kg less than the standard car, hmm that sounds good.

I hear you, but you need the screamer NA engine. That's half of the magic of the letter ///M and BMW don't have one. The V8 just does not do it for me in the same way as an in-line4 or in-line6. And turbo engines are great in their own right, but not on an ///M

All IMHO
