New z4m roadster

Hi all,

Just picked up my new to me Z4m in ruby stone black with black leather. Car is a blast! It’s done 60k and is mint. Is running on 18’s so it’s great on our rubbish roads!

I’ve had loads of fun cars but I think this might be the best.

I’ll post up some pics soon when it’s clean again, spent all weekend in it.

Already discovered that an electric seat is stuck in a position and sat nav thinks I’m in a field, plus I can’t pair my phone!

Simon

Welcome to the forum.

Ruby Black is a great colour, and with the weather as it is you should get to see it at it's best in decent sunlight!

As far as your tech issues are concerned it may have paired with a Nokia 6310 but things have moved on a bit! And maybe a road has been built in the field shown on your Sat Nav in the last decade - that's partly why I use a Garmin (other reason being I can use 1 of those in both my cars)!

Anyway it sounds like you have found a great Z4 so you just need to enjoy driving it. :driving:

And I'm looking forward to the photos.

Welcome aboard :( It might start out as a midlife crisis, but them ///Ms is for Iife. :driving:

Welcome aboard. Love an //M. Can't wait to see pics, especially Ruby Black in this lovely weather.

Hi and welcome.

You might need a new gps antenna to solve the field issue. Around a tenner on eBay.

Loving the car. I want to get a new gear stick and i’m Going to take it somewhere to get the phone sorted as I need hands free.

Any recommendations for a good indie? I’m near Oxford.

Welcome!
CPC Perfomance Engineering in Amersham are excellent for mechanical work (I’ve always taken my ///M there and recently my RS4 too) but you’ll have to give him a call to ask if he can help with pairing your phone.

Have you tried unpairing the existing phones?

I assume you have the pairing button in the centre console flap.

Hi,

I can’t unpair the existing phones. Yes I have the button in the armrest. Apparently the roadster needs to be done by dealer
If the maximum amount of phones (3 or 6,I can't remember),have been paired, they need to be unpaired before anymore can then be paired.
I have had to do this when getting a new mobile. Can't remember the procedure, but it's in the wee phone hand booklet in owners pack.
You can do it yourself, without a dealer. I did.
Hope this helps.
Love the car,and welcome to the forum

The manual tells you how to unpair the existing phones. It will remove all, up to the maxim7m 5 allowed, which could be why you can’t pair your phone.

I have the instructions somewhere if you haven’t got a manual.
