Yikes, I didn`t realise the tax was going to £415 from £405- wish I had known that before I bought mine :D

I owned an E46 320TD (I think it`s the single turbo version of the 123TD?). THat was quite good, but still only a diesel. It used to average late 50`s MpG according to the OBC). Doesn`t matter how fast a diesel is, they`re still naff (low revving, power all comes in relatively narrow band and rattly)

but it`s still a diesel. What mpg is it returning with 343bhp? I bet it`s life massively shortened and the MPG is probably close to that of a good petrol engine with the same power as the hike in power has come from the additional turbo boost. I dunno though, I`m no expert but I`ve heard of some chipped 3-3.5 litre diesels returning 25mpg

I can really identify with much of what SB is saying and I love to hear people talk about the performance merits of modern diesels. The low to mid range torque in a good diesel is fantastic and more sports cars should be made with this option. Isn't thee a diesel Z4 coming?

The 123D sounds like a good daily driver. I think I might try one.
