Took delivery yesterday. This is the only picture I have so far (from dealers website) - I knew I'd get pilloried if I didn't post one- but I've not stopped driving it yet long enough to take some Phots of my own.

Said goodbye to a JCW MINI Cooper S (which has been an awesome car for the last 3 years, but time for a change) and came home with the biggest grin on my face!

Had a Z3 2.8 about 7 years ago, and the difference is just ridiculous. The Z4M, despite the extra power seems just so much better sorted. I'd obviously test driven the Z4M, but having done a decent run in it now, it's clear just how great this car is. It's pretty much exceeded my expectations across the board.

Extras are bluetooth, sat-nav, heated seats, wind deflector, CD Changer and a load of BMW connect stuff I don't really understand (or care about). It's the engine that made me buy this car - I can't stop popping the bonnet and gawking at it!

Will get some more phots up over the weekend - off to wash and wax.

Anyone else going to Le Mans this year?
 
So just over a week of ownership has led me to the following conclusions:

i) This car is plain ballistic
ii) I have the biggest sh :evil: t eating grin every time I put my toe down
iii) It really is impractical as hell
iv) My license is in danger
v) People treat you waaaaay differently - there is no middle ground here - they either love you or loathe you
vi) It is an excuse to drive, for the sake of driving
vii) The bonnet WILL be popped to show friends the engine - FACT!
viii) Fuel is too freakin' expensive by far
ix) Black remains, and always will, a pain in the backside to keep clean
x) Did I mention the sh :evil: t eating grin yet...?
