Engineer came out yesterday to sort out the car.

Crank shaft sensor changed, now the car will actually start..... and the power seems to be ok once again. Take sa bit of getting used to not having ALL the power at the bottom end like my gti had.

I prefer the NA engines by a mile though - because obviously that makes you want to reach the red line!

Will be taking pics at the weekend and posting them on here... now where did i put that dodo juice?!

Thanks for the support guys - and if there are any more meets over the next month or so keep my posted!

:driving:

P.S. Bunny hopping like a mentalist into 2nd gear... lol. Just gotta get used to it.

Where abouts are you baised? Glad its all sorted.....

Cheers

PaulN

Ps Why wait till the weekend get some pics up NOW!

Im in west yorkshire.... so anyting locally would be cool!

I think the bunnyhopping is caused by me accelerating whilst bringing the clutch up into 2nd.. is this the cdv issue?

IMO replacing the CDV valve will result in little improvement in the bunny hopping issue. if any. It's something you learn to drive around and even then it will catch you unawares at times. Strangely I find the issue to be substantially less prominent when I use Tesco 99 over Shell Vpower. It is still there with the Tesco fuel but less often and not as violent when it does occur.

DGM, what colour is your car? I regularly see a silver MC, carbon MC and interlagos MR. Are any of these you?

It's sapphire black with CSL's. I've hardly seen any MC's about in the Glasgow area, although there are several 3.0 coupes about. I quite like it that way, makes me feel my car is more exclusive.
