Hi Guys picked up my new z4 2.0 drive m sport yesterday , love the look of the car and its drive but traded from a Mini FJCW so down in power a little.

Anyway, my new car has 900 miles on it - ex demo - and it returns around 28mpg, this seems a little low to me?

Any thoughts, thanks in advance

Not a BMW but the principle is the same - I had a Fiesta ST last year ... at 1K miles it was only doing 27-28mpg. Same runs (commuting) all the time and by 3K miles is was showing 37mpg.

My last Z4 had 28K on it when I bought it - it was massively different in fuel economy and performance than the 2.5K miles one I replaced it with. Same engine and gearbox as the last one, but only a tenth of the miles compared to the last one. In time they really do loosen up and give better mpg :)
 
anyone have any thoughts on the stereos in these new cars, lots of complaints, but mine - although not loud - is not so bad at all considering I cam from the mini with the HK upgrade.

Stunning car :thumbsup: I assume it is alpine white? I'm in the process of getting one myself and am thinking of white (though my heart says black :D ).

Z4 is a fan car and if you need help, I'm sure you'll get a lot of advice from experienced form members here!
 
Yea that's alpine white. I would have gone black myself. But. My previous cars have been dark and they just highlight scratches [emoji45]

You are right David. My current E86 is black and although I wanted another black my missus reminded me of how grumpy I am after every time I was my car as I can see every little fault! Which is why I might go for white as well.

Shame, I always wanted to be Bastman

Anyone have any opinion on the speakers in the car. As said above came from a mini with Hk which was loud and fun. But this one isn't as bad as some of the comments I have read. It seems to be limited though in volume.
