Hi all, just took ownership of my 2007 2L z4 and just love it. Planning to clean the roof and seal it soon and clay/polish and wax soon. Two things I need advice on are :-
Reversing camera suggestion
What wind deflectors to go for and the original cost a fortune.

Clean the roof by all means but I wouldn't seal it. The outer membrane is designed to be porous, it's the middle of the 3 'skins' that is waterproof.
Opinion seems to be that the mesh wind deflectors best. You can get some buffeting with solid ones
Assume you've checked to see it's not in the storage brackets in the boot lid? :wink:

Wind deflector wise your options are limited if on a tight budget, Even the aftermarket stuff seems to cost a fortune!

They do a 'gimp mask' style oem one which come with my latest car, like you say, even they are worth a few quid!

Hi and welcome - but no proof of ownership till you post photos.

Clean the roof by brushing with stiff nylon brush and vacuum the crap away. Then wash with weak milton fluid solution to kill all the green bits that start to grow at this time of year then wash with soapy water and rinse. You don't need to seal as has already been said its made so water soaks through the top layer.
 
REversing camera - if you have an inbuilt Satnav, apparently was available as a retrofit only, otherwise am gobsmacked you’d ever need one 🤩

Well, you could fit one, then reverse up to a mirror, then...........................
