New Z4 tomorrow!

Hi all, first post here. I'm picking up my new Z4 Roadster tomorrow (nice to see the weather has deteriorated in time!) and was just wondering if I could get some guidance/ideas on a few beginner mods. I like to have a slightly unique looking car. My main priority is maybe getting hold of some of the split rim style alloys as I think these look the best.
I took a couple of quick pics of it before I left the dealers.

Hi and welcome nice colour combo Montego Blue + Pearl Grey Leather you can't beat it imo

+1 on the 108's the best wheels by far on a zed

Thanks for the welcome! Just sorted the insurance out. It stung. You'd think after 5 years of not wrapping myself round a lampost they'd be pretty convinced I'm not likely to! Feels like xmas eve at the min...

I am selling my wheels, they are 19" lm reps with falken452 tyres with aprox 800miles on them
Looking around £750.00
Good luck and enjoy

So, one day in and I love it, two things though, is the Montego blue a hard colour to keep clean? Only drove in light rain and it looks like I've been on the Dakar Rally. Also, regarding the remote roof open, it seems to only open half way. Any theories on this?

Welcome to the forum

If it's hard as black to keep clean, you're in for a treat  But I reckon it probably just needs a good polish & wax.

As for the roof, you need to keep the button pressed really hard in my experience - if it opens normally from in the car then the roof is fine.

Hi and welcome, nice car, and don't listen to them about the wheels, 108's are the best. MV2's are OK on a coupe, and are a PITA to clean as well.

:withstupid: about the remote roof.

If you like the remote roof feature might pay to buy a gaptech module, you only have to press the unlock button three times then instead of keeping your thumb on it.

Welcome, nice Z

The 108 alloys look great, but can be a PITA to keep the rims corrosion free as they are a polished finish. A well known issue.

The remote roof issue may simply be interference in the signal, test it in different area's. As said the Gaptech one touch module is a good mod for the roof operation.

Finally got a good run out in the country. There were patches of sunlight so naturally the top was down. Got it nice and dirty in The Peak District before giving it the first good polish. Got home to a stubby in the mail too. Absolutely love this car now, can't see me changing anything on it anymore.
