...apparently the facelifted 3 series is getting the dual clutch transmission so I would be surprised if it never made its way into the new Z4.

If BMW can get the looks right, a 335 engined Z4 with DCT and folding hardtop will be a great car indeed. From the looks of the 3 series, it will use the same paddles and sports shift as the sports-auto 5 series, which is the same as the Z4 interior spy pics that were posted last week, so maybe they're already testing it
