New Z4 owner

Hi all,

Just purchased my 08 Z4 3.0si Coupe in Ruby Black with Champagne Leather (105k). Epic epic car, has every optional extra also which is a huge bonus. Already started the 'improvements' with the sound generator mod, and have ordered a nice stubby aerial. A nice weighted M Sport gear knob and matte black kidney grills will finish it off nicely.

Two issues with it though, the budget Accelera PH1 tyres that have been put on, and the passenger side headlight out (not sure if it's bulb yet or the ballast/ignitor).

Yeah it made a huge difference, really roars now at high RPM - fantastic straight six sound. Probably the best free mod on a car :P

I've used Good Year Eagle F1 Assymetric 2s on my previous 2 litre and 3.0si. Excellent quiet tyre (in wet and dry) for the money. (There's Assymetric 3s available now but think the 2s would still be available for less?). Having MPSS replaced on my M but that's all part of the investment.

Looking at getting black kidney grills too....official BMW ones seem to be going for approx £80 for a pair let me know if you find anything cheaper! :thumbsup:

Sounds like you're doing some tasteful mods, more pics of the car please! Get some good tyres on asap, will really bring out the full potential of the car.

Definitely go for some good tyres. And keep the whippy, it improves the acceleration.

Another vote for the Goodyears. They transformed my Zed.

Ruby Black is fantastic on those few days each year that the sun happens to shine while the car is clean. :roll: (I only got those factors to align about 3 times in 2 years)!
