Just want to say Hi. I traded my old 330cd for this last wednesday :D

I had to :driving: up fom Sutton in surrey to Nottingham to collect it, lond day but well worth it
Its a 3.0l si Sport roadster with xenons, bluetooth, HiFi, Heated seats and 108s. I managed to rip out the BMW iPod connection in the glove comartment and fit my intravee from my previous car. Been out driving today, my 330cd was an auto so im loving the manual, that something i have missed.

I was wondering that as well. I assume they have been refurbed. Car was brought from Sytner BMW nottingham

I had read that facelift 108's had normal painted outsides. Not sure if it's true but from what you say it sounds like you just have the facelift 108's which makes sense :)

I think I'll go that route with mine (need refurbing, for a change :) )

No it's not true. The only difference from the original and the modified 108's that are starting to come through the system is that they have replaced the inner face with a powder coat type cream finish rather than the original diamond cut. the outer lip remains a polished and lacquered finish. I know having recently had a wheel replaced by BMW only to find they supplied a new style then they had to hunt down an original.

If the lips are painted then someone has done it aftermarket, probably to hide corossion cheaply
