Hi, picked up a Z4 e85 3.0 a few days ago. Only got this pic at the moment after picking it up, next to my Saab 9-3. Needs a good clean inside and out.

Paid 3.3k so was expecting a few things to tidy up

Headlights were quite dull, used the 3M restoration made a big difference. Before and after:

Some bad points, after driving fine for 100 miles, I stopped at a red light for a minute, and I had a strange mis-fire/rough running, sounded like not running on all cylinders. It seemed to be intermittent one second it was fine then it went again, so thinking a sensor.. will check for error codes when I get home after the weekend. started a few times since then and always been fine. Popped the disa out and it looked and felt good.

The exhaust.. the connection between the downpipe and exhaust seems foobared, one pipe not sealed, other has interesting joint. It is blowing a bit, hopefully can get bolts ground off and re-sealed.. probably take this to an exhaust shop. Not sue I can face struggling with that without a ramp.

Will post better pics when I have cleaned and polished the car, apart from the issues above all seems good and enjoying driving it. Cheers.

welcome, nice looking E85  You didn't buy it from the St Neots area by any chance did you?

Welcome to the forum, plenty of advice here. What spec does your car have?, looks clean, where are you based?

I'm in Bournemouth, car has electric heated leather(essential imo :) ), xenon lights, rear parking sensor, rain sensor wipers, the wind-deflector that you can store in the boot, tyres are Bridgetone run flats, they do seems rather hard/crashy. Might go for normal tyres when they are needed.

hi, No not near St Neots
Thats a coincidence. I got pipped to the post for a grey 3.0 this week that sold for £3300.
Hope you get plenty of miles of smiles :D

Hi and welcome OP!

Hope you get the exhaust sorted so you can get out an enjoy it!

Welcome!
Don't worry, i'm sorting out some bigger wrinkles than yours atm during new z4 ownership.
I think at 3.3k u got off lightly

Cheers guys. Had the exhaust fixed:

Massive difference, running so much better now, performance is much better :driving:

After a quick clean:

Hi and welcome ! A pre-facelift Zed in Sterling Grey is the best combination imho....but I may be a little biased :D Enjoy !
