New Z4 owner

The guy came to pick up the car this morning. I just had a call from him and he also said his mechanic found a faulty o2 sensor, so good news on that front as he is getting it replaced, also he will swap out the bonnet switch. As an added bonus he is going to bring the car back to us also. Very happy with the dealer so far. Fingers crossed it should be back to us mid week! :driving:

Sounds like you bought it from a top dealer, well either that or he's missing it already and just wanted the excuse to give it one last run out :driving:

Want to see some photos with them new wheels on, think they'll really suit the car. Also RE the steering wheel trims, if you are going to carbon wrap the other interior pieces why not do them at the same time?

Hi 85, so far he seems veey good. Impressed with his service. A no nonsense type of guy was the impression i got from him with the first phone call lol.

The wheels will be going on begining of Sept, want to give the Mrs a chance to get used to the car before she curbs the wheels lol. Il make sure to post some pics as soon as they are fitted :)

I thought from some of the guides i have read regarding the steering wheel trim all the buttons could not be removed? Which may make wrapping the steering trim very difficult so though about masking it up and spraying it once its off the car. If the buttons can be removed then wrapping would be ideal for me as iv never sprayed anything before and make a right hash of it.

Not so sure who will be driving the wife's car the most? Enjoy.
Lol, i think il be driving it more than her previous car. To be honest after driving it a couple times i found myself looking up z4's on autotrader more and more to replace the 1 series. So far i cant afford the change due to buying the Mrs car, but i think soon enough i may find myself in a 3.0si coupe for commuting to work and back.

I have only had my car a week and the oil light came on - orange colour I think when I switched ignition off. Previous owner had invoice for oil change in January this year. But being a bit untrustful of garage services I checked oil level and it was above minimum. So how do you know garage topped it up properly in first place and what cheap version of oil would they have used. I topped it up to the full line and took it out for a full days driving on Saturday. Checked level on Sunday and it hadnt dropped at all. You expect a 6 cylinder to use a bit of oil but my mind is now at ease that I havent purchased a real oil burner. However, first thing on my list is to do an oil change using quality products.

Makes it even worse due to the fact the facelift model has no dipstick! So your relying on the sensor data being good. Luckily the trader is replacing the oil level sensor as his mechanic seems to think its faulty. They did an oil change a couple days before i picked it up and filled the right amount according to autodata. Hopefully will get the car back by Thursday.
