New Z4 owner :)

Hi everyone, I've recently bought a 2004 3.0i Z4. The car has done quite a few miles (96k) but has full BMW service history with a few nice options including the upgrade M-Sport seats. I've just had an Inspection 1 at a main dealer and they've given the car a clean bill of health.

It would also seem I've purchased at the right time as the weather the last two weeks has been fantastic!

So far the forum has helped me out with the following, checking drain holes are clear for the roof and releasing the stuck cd magazine by tapping it with a hammer. Oh yea and removing a piece of foam from the sound generator :) Also, this evening I came home and noticed a damp patch in front of the driver's side wheel. Checked inside the inspection flap and it's the washer jet that is leaking but this seems to be a common problem so I'll probably check all the connections, etc this weekend to see if I can sort it.

Anyway, here's a pic (taken on iphone so quality not that great)......

Hi and welcome, I think you have bought my old Z4 that I traded in last month on about 96,000 miles, pleased to see it's gone to a good home. i had it for 4 years and it was loosing water from the screen wash tank before I PX'd it.
Please feel free to PM me for any history you want to know, I will not give the reg here but the beginning is the same in the photo.
If it's the same it's a good car, only needs an oil top up at about 2000 miles.

Hi again, one more thing if there was a Madonna cd in the cassette (my wifes) then it is the same car, only found it was stuck on the way to the dealers to PX it.

Cheers Henry. YHM.

Thanks guys. I've done a lot of miles in the car over the last week visiting family, etc and it hasn't missed a beat. Also, I'm pretty amazed by the MPG you can get on a run. Far better than my old 330ci.

I'm off to the Alps end of May to drive a few Alpine passes. I'll be sure to post up some pics after :)
