New Z4 owner!

Bought my first Z4 last week! 2008 E86 3.0si. 91k miles.
I found out shortly after purchasing that the transmission has some occasional slipping on hard acceleration and will probably need replaced down the road. I’m not too upset about it since I got it for a great price and assumed some maintenance/repairs would be necessary. Other than that it seems like it was well maintained and still looks absolutely gorgeous.

I’m loving it so far! Water pump and A/C were replaced by previous owner so that’s a bonus. Looking forward to several years of cherishing this beauty!

Hi and welcome to the forum - and Coupe ownership.

I really know anything about automatic gearboxes, but might draining the gearbox and refilling with fresh fluid solve the slipping?

I wondered that as well, but the previous owner took it to 2 shops for it and both said the trans would need replaced. BMW said a fluid flush wouldn’t do it.

Welcome on board. Cracking looking Zed. You need to sort those fingernails out though.
