New Z4 owner

Welcome to the forum - and bonus points for photos in your 1st post!

Lovely colour combination too, and a 3 litre is the way to go.

Thank you all for your welcome messages. .... I was thinking of having the wheels painted gloss black.... think I may have over paid for the car looking at others available but 43K miles, FSH, one owner from new in mint condition... paid 7K

Prices are tricky for cars like yours - how many 2004 1 owner cars are there with just 43K miles on them? You might have the only 1.

So long as you're happy with what you paid the price was OK!

I'm not a fan of black wheels - mainly because it's hard to make out what style they are. If you want them a bit darker maybe something like Shadow Chrome would work better - but it's your car after all.

What you need is for a photoshop expert to create a few alternative looks for you before you commit!

Hi and welcome to the forum. Lovely zed you have there 8)

I have the same alloys (107's) and have had them both satin black and shadow chrome. Personally, I wouldn't go for black as it makes it difficult to see the alloy design in anything other than direct light.

Here's a couple of photos comparing the 2 colours.

IMO, whilst black wheels can look nice wit the right colour car, the one thing that puts me off is that they always make the tyres look grey. Especially on a black car, this really draws the eye and detracts from the overall effect; unless you black the tyres every other day or so.

Agree about the black wheels comments. I have shadow chrome 107's, but I do like yours in silver.

Anyway, lets get onto another subject shall we....1971 Ford Mustang 5.0L V8 Mach 1 In Grabber Lime
we need photos :poke:

Evening all

Thank you for comments and suggestions.

That is stunning, it looks fast just sat there. Have you had her long ?
I spy a Datsun 120Y beside you, where was the meet up

I have had her 4 years... she is at preset getting a full respray as she wasn’t perfect and to match the colour was impossible. Also the interior is being freshened up. Will post some updated pics when I have her back. This meet is the Bradford Classic in my home town.

Mustang looks great as does your Z4. IMHO it is worth paying more for a car with good provinence. In NZ I paid about the same as you did for a 2 owner 52000 miler with excellent history. Actually an ex UK car imported here when the original owner emigrated here.

Two different cars, I am sure you will enjoy the Z and forum membership.

Cheers :driving:
