Hi all
Have just bought the Z4 3.0 se manual that d3 Matt had for sale on the forum.
I looked at and drove a couple yesterday, both very nice cars but Matt's was in better overall condition (Very well looked after) albeit a little more expensive, the deal was struck and I will pick it up over the next few days.
My last BMW was a beautiful 840, but I really like open air motoring, and so it went, I have replaced it with a mk1 Mx5 which I love to bits, however My plan is to Drive to France for a week or so in July/ August, and its just a little to noisy and unrefined, I reckon that the Z4 will be perfect - anyone taken their Z4 on a long European tour, any tips?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

3 litre is the way to go IMO, especially if you have a European trip planned. I haven't done a trip like that in my Z4 (had a 123d last time I went to the Dordogne area) but I'm sure someone on here will have!

It sounds like you have found one that has been looked after - enjoy. :driving:

Good choice

I took my first Z4 down through France to Lyon and surrounding areas just after I bought it, did about 2k miles in 5 days.

Long story short that trip eventually lead me into buying a second Z!

Enjoy it!

Welcome aboard. :) Love the shape of the 8 series. 8) Zeds travel really well, done several trips up to Scotland and the continent, never missed a beat and very comfy, with the sports seats. :driving:

Hi & Welcome

As said Zeds travel really well, I have done several long trips in both my e85 & E89

Sorted the insurance and booked the train ticket, so should be on my way no later than 1.30 tomorrow
The drive back from Oxford is mostly motorway  but am hoping that there will be some daylight left when I get back home (Cheshire) to give it a more suitable workout.
