New Z4 Owner/New Member

Just bought a 2003 Z4, with 44K miles on it, and picked it up for really less than bluebook.
I was not ready to get an third car but my wife fell in love with it... :titshake:

It is a joy to drive, and drive hard...... :driving:

After spending the last 12 years modding my F150, now I can start in a whole new area...

No questions yet, but I will have some. I have already found lots of info on this site.

AND I am ready for lots of comments on what I should do.

Thanks.

Geez, I used to love having my guys prosecuting those :D

We want to see pics of the Z!

BTW, Welcome to the Forum

Shipkiller, Welcome to the Forum from a fellow F150 "winter beater" driver! When you get a chance, we'd all love to see some pics because:

:worthless:

We want pictures, we're very visually stimulated and are always in need to of new Z pics to gawk at...oh yea, welcome to the board! :D

OK,OK,OK

Pictures tomorrow of my Z4 and F150.

Yes, I am a retired Submariner (Chief Fire Control Technician). I did 24 years. I have been retired about four years and work for FTSCLANT (Fleet Technical Support Atlantic) as a Submarine Combat Systems Electrical/Computer Engineer. I AM A GEEK.

But being a geek makes me lots of money.

Had to work today (Sunday). But after I got off, I went driving.... This was the first day since I bought the Z4 that I have had a chance to drive it.

:sos: Help, I am becoming addicted. :sos:

This car is F*cking GREAT.

Sorry, got carried away.

I am used to driving a 97' F150 that has been modified so that I have 325HP at the rear wheel, but it IS, still, a 4X4.

This Z4 rocks..... ok, I've only had it three days......

...and that smile will never cease :D The excitement in the hours when you are not in the car will subside a tiny bit after about 2 months of initial enjoyment, but I've had mine since Febuary (also own an F150) and I feel that same excitement still EVERY time I get behind the wheel of the Zed. I can't control myself. I keep telling myself that "I'm going to drive sensibly today", but it never happens

Welcome to the club, Shipkiller, glad to have you aboard, mate!

Ok, here is a not so good pic of the Z and my Truck parked in front of the neighbors house. The sun was going down today....

If you look in the grill of the F150, you can see the HHO generator that produces Hydrogen and Oxygen for ingestion to the engine.

That is spooky..... :dizzy:

Up until now, my F150 was my daily driver. It has only been in the shop once. But alas, it needs a new tranny.

Welcome to the forum, keep on driving the addiction gets worse especially with the top down. As a target I am pleased to see you are retired. I will be crossing the pond in a couple of weeks to join a VLCC in the US gulf. If anyone wants to see pics of 36,000 BHP B&W diesel (not to be confused with BMW) let me know.

henry1,

First off, WELCOME to the forum!

We will not hold it against you for being on a target. Expecially since you have such good taste in the car you drive.

Glad to see you found us. We have not been hiding on purpose. It was sorta sad the way the old forum went away, some communication would have been nice. Oh well, thats water under the bridge at this point. The new and improved forum feels comfortable to me and hope you find it the same. Enjoy yourself before your next outing and keep safe.
