Hello everyone. New Z4 owner here - 2003 3.0i 6-speed manual, Sterling Grey/black interior, 41K miles. What a beauty! Only 2 owners and must have been garaged as it's in pristine condition. (I also have a 2002 330Cic. When you go to the dark side, you go all in.)
The dealer I got it from had the top repaired so it works fine but, despite the low mileage, the local BMW dealer says front struts and rear shocks are shot.
No reason to doubt them, though they also said my 330 needed rear shocks when I took it in (a little more understandable for 81K miles perhaps but what do I know). Certainly not going to have them do the Z4 at the prices they quoted and am looking around for a good independent shop. I did have the dealer replace the coolant expansion tank which they said had a hairline crack because I didn't want to risk that blowing out.
I've already done my first mod, replaced the chrome grills with black ones.
