Hi all,
Just picked up my 2006 Z4 2.5 si last week and brought it back up to Scotland after a 4 hour drive. It's done just 50k miles and apart from a few minor niggles and in need of a good clean on the inside (now done!), it's awesome!
Already had front passenger seat out to give it a proper clean underneath and thanks to all the info on this forum, knew exactly what to do and not have any Air bag lights on after... bonus! Did lose the auto-up window function but fixed that as well thanks to the forum info. I did discover the passenger footwell carpets were the cause of the damp smell so as light was fading (and my wife was asking when I'd be done), I took wipers off, plastic tray at bottom of windscreen etc and cleared out any leaves. Did notice the rubber valve that sits in the middle was missing so wondering if this is partly to blame for wet carpets (need to find part on realoem). Going to look at door membrane as well when my panel removal tools arrive.
It's in for a full service and complete check over today. Few things planned to get it up to scratch:
Rear bumper respray
Wing mirror respray
Alloy wheel refurb
Move roof motor to boot
Rear muffler removal and straight pipe (maybe)
Pic below:

Cheers,
Dave
