Hi everyone.

Just picked up my first Zed on Tuesday.. love the car, and always admired the timeless look.

I bought a 2006 2.0I SE and it's my first ever foray into owning a car just to have as a toy and the pure joy of it (kids are finally older and the wife gave me the green light :) .) It needs a bit of TLC, I dont think it was loved too much before... I've given it a good interior scrub and I think after a couple more itll start to come up to standard. Planning to get lots of bits done to it and after reading some of the great posts on here I've got some awsome inspiration.

For now I'm going to get a full health check done at my local BMW specialists and at £78 I thought it was a bargain and a must so I know where to start sinking my money lol..

For now I'll post some picks and hopefully can get some tips and share my journey in getting it as great looking as some of the fantastic specimens I've seen posted on here.

Great community everyone and I hope to get some solid advice when I'm floundering..

Already cleared up the headlights with toothpaste.. surprised how well that worked!!! :o

Cheers

Welcome Billy , to avoid the lenses clouding again apply some decent wax & going forward re-apply whenever you do the bodywork

Welcome along ! Just in time for some summer too, hopefully! Considering you say it needs tlc, it looks tidy in the photos!

Thanks guys. Mr wilks, planning on doing a few more applications to get them up, still not perfect but typically it's done nothing but rain since I bought the car.. which must be my fault for buying the car!! Sorry everyone for that.... Need to also sort our a few scratches to the body work and then I'll start working the wax in... as often as possible.. planning on investing in a polishing machine but will practice on the merc before I tough this hahaha....!!

Thanks tom. The front bumper looks like it was Krebed quite heavy and will need some work doing.. I've already pulled half a forest and a load of grunge out of the roof seams.. the interiors looked like it's been used to nest chickens too... but I like a project and it keeps me spending all my cash on crisps

Welcome along, might be worth checking the roof drain holes just in front of the rear wheel arches, don't want the dreaded roof motor submerged
