new Z4 M Coupe owner

Hi everybody,

I just thought I'd come & introduce myself to the forum as I've just placed a deposit on a 2007 Z4 M Coupe and complete next weekend.
Plan on being a regular visitor as I am on Club G40 / clubpolo (also have a German '91 G40), as I feel an ownership experience is enriched with a greater knowledge of your machine.

Having been in the market for an M car I was considering a late E46 M3 CS/CSL, or an early E90/E92 V8 M3. Then thought to myself that the Z4 M Coupe's have the best of both worlds: as new as the V8 M3's, in the same price bracket as the E46's, while still coming with the BMW warranty.

Was rather calm on the test drive and upon agreeing the deal, but getting more excited by the day now. Can't wait to collect!

Let's have some pics of the Polo too when you can ! In those days, supercharging a little hatchback was wayyyy cool 8)

I see you also had a Polo G40 (albeit in 1996) - mine was a 1990 UK RHD version in white. I bet your's has been to AMD too for the cheap & easy extra horsepower from the 'charger pulley & rechip. 150bhp was a lot for such a lightweight car in those days.

Wasn't much into modifying then, so part-ex'd it for a Corrado VR6 and spent £10k modifying that instead (only performance mods, nothing cosmetic except the wheels).
 
Thanks for the welcome messages everybody, I'll post some photos as soon as I can borrow a decent camera.. I feel a Nokia N96 snap won't do the car any justice!
I'll also do a show & tell on the G40 (currently sans G-lader and awaiting fitment of a turbo kit) at some point too.
