New Z4 - help on exhaust options

Is there a real difference? The "twin" exhaust is just 2 tail pipes. The pipe from catalytic converter to muffler is single. Is there a difference in the muffler itself?
Some have done a cat-back replacement with Remus or a few other brands. Could you find an OEM at a breaker?

It's more for aesthetics than performance. Even replacing the standard exhaust for a performance aftermarket brand will only give a few bhp increase. Why not go to your local exhaust company and get a custom section made up with a twin pipe rear section. Delete the rear silencer to give a better exhaust note if thats what you are after or just fit a splitter rear section for the two pipe look
