New Z4 E89 owner looking for advice!

Hi z4 enthusiasts! Just received my new z4- sdrive 3.0l manual in black with alpine leather! very pleased!

Was wondering about a few minor modifications- and if anyone has any experience:

ECU mapping/ Superchipping? I hear it is possible to get 10-15 hp more out of the car? Anyone had this done?

The Idrive system- Is it possible to overide the system to allow you to watch DVDs whilsts on the move ( for passenger obviously )

And finally and exhaust/ muffler modifiying advice- The standard pipe does sound lovely, but would be nice if it is more throaty!

Welcome. AFAIK none of E89 owners in UK here had done any modifications like ECU or exhaust (Mcbeee in Canada did). But simple remapping gives you extra 10 to 15 hp is not difficult. I could have done it on my old E85 with superchip.

I will extend BMW warranty after the new car one expires, so I won't use any aftermarket parts.

As ksher has said, Mcbeee has modded his for more performance, but I think he is the only one on here.

I have fitted whiter daytime running light bulbs and a couple of weeks ago bought new flat blade style windscreen wipers since the originals were just over a year old. Probably going to keep mine past the 3 year mark and extend the warranty also, so want to keep everything standard.
