New Z4 Coupe owner - Have photos and questions

Hi and welcome.

Sounds like a great drive home from SF. And thanks for the pics - very nice.

Enjoy :driving:

Welcome. Car looks great. Do you get alot of admiring looks over there in that? Must be rare.

I do get a lot of people doing a double take, for sure. I think most folks, in AZ anyway, don't instantly know what it is. I've only ever seen 1 or 2 Coupes here, myself. But yes, lots of nods and wide eyes… and unfortunately, I've noticed more people unwilling to let me over in traffic, or let me pass on the motorway, than in my past few (non-BMW) cars.

But, I can't keep MY eyes off it! :)

Here's a few more photos… cause, why not?

This is my gear selector… can't tell if it's original or not. The car came with all the M upgrades… just don't know…

This screw looks pretty out of place. Can anyone comment on this??

the gearshifter is a new BMW performance range one. quite an expensive option now!

The screw is in the correct place but usually has a little black blanking cover over the top, not expensive from the dealer.

Ah… thanks!

Do you know if there's any chance that shifter can be resurfaced/rejuvenated? The plastic part is peeling. At first I thought someone painted over chrome because of the odd way it's peeling off.

I'll take a closer look. Just didn't know if it was a commonly solved issue… or if it's easy to take apart. (?)

Very nice Coupe Luke, great pictures as well.

Still get Coupe envy every time I see a nice one.

Lovely car OP - photos are great!

Mine has the 10 speaker Hi-Fi speaker system - it apparently has 430w output, but I prefer to listen to the N52 up front!

Looks like yours also has the multi-function steering wheel (handy) and heated seats (probably not required where it came from)!

Enjoy! :driving:
