New (!) Z

So after a day and a half 'having a look' it turns out to be a really good car. Lots of baked on mud (think it was owned by a farmer TBH) but that seems to have protected it a bit as it is as solid as a rock. No rust anywhere!

The offside front brake seems to be binding a little but it passed an MOT last week with no advisories!

The water leak isn't from the roof; it's from the aerial rubber. Perished and split. Bit of silicone for now (that is going when the wing comes off).
Explains why the radio has no signal; the aerial terminal is soaked and all rusted/ corroded. All dried and sorted!

Engine bay needs a good clean, oil needs changing (age rather than mileage) and the coolant needs topping up, just need to work out what is in it!

A/C doesn't work (no gas) but that is hardly surprising as it's been sat idle for at least 18 months. I can sort that myself if needs be, but I think the A/C will be redundant for what I want to do.

Very honest advert, but I can’t see a price, no details on the service history and it’s in the wrong section :|

Vacillate endlessly over several threads about which car to buy, then buy none of them. Make a rash purchase of something you don’t really want, then sell it immediately to make way for more dithering…
I can see why A/C would be superfluous to that :P

Great word!
Are you sure?

I thought it's meaning was 'the action of applying petroleum jelly'. :?

I’m glad I haven’t met you or the thought of you “vacillating endlessly” would be all the more disturbing! It could only be worse if PVR was vacillating with you!

Don’t involve me in your vacillating fantasies :D

This forum does tend to deviate into 'homo-erotica' on occasion. I put it down to a shared passion for convertible cars, which I don't share really, BTW (that and old age TBH)!

You’re the one who brought the Vaseline :flyboyaj:

Besides, I have two two-seater coupes and one two-seater with no roof at all. You’re not going to convert me!
