New z owner west London

Having my e46 m3 ownership cut short I just happened to come across a z4m roadster at a deal I couldn’t help but take up.
Absolutely loving the car so far and only had it a couple weeks.

Cheers guys. Thanks for the warm welcome. Just got a couple questions. As I’ve never had a soft top before. What would be the best option to clean the green algae off of the cloth and what would be best to seal it with?

I use this method for the algae: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=100317

and I use BMW soft top protector (the fabric shouldn't be 'sealed' - its supposed to be porous, there is an inner lining that is waterproof)

Hi and welcome. Great choice! I always thought I'd own an E46 M3 but got hooked on Z4s!
Originally from West London myself, now in Herts/Beds/Bucks but go back regularly, I'll look out for you!

Welcome to the forum. Auto gly do a good kit for the roof.

How does the Zed compare to the M3?

Welcome- lovely z- dare I ask why your e46 experience was cut short?
Was cut short due to a little minor accident that insurance deemed a write off.

They’re miles apart. I feel that the m3 was the more predictable and tame car but the suspension and steering was a bit lacking.
Z4m drives better in possibly every single way. It’s everything you’d want the m3 to be stock.

[ref]firebobby[/ref], yeah. I would definitely be down for some ace cafe action

[ref]bmwaddict[/ref], yeah. I’m sure you’ll see me around. Currently being used as a daily. And haven’t seen anything else similar to it in the area.

From my limited experience of driving an M3 on track, I would agree wholeheartedly.

Hi and welcome.

Thanks for the pic - looks great.

Hope to see you at Ace Cafe if not before. :)

Enjoy :driving:

That's an interesting insight from someone who has had both - thanks.
