New York

I've been up both The Empire State Building & the Top of the rock at the Rockefeller building (& both of the twin towers  ) & I have to say I do prefer the Empire State, it could be that I love the Art-Deco architecture though, if you don't go up the Empire State building's observation level then at least make the time to see the lovely lobby area.

What else to do, Central Park, Dakota building & Strawberry Fields (esp if you are a John Lennon fan) Upper East side, China town is quite interesting, Wall Street & I would have suggested the NYSE gallery, but it's "closed indefinitely"

Don't forget Broadway if you like your shows, get tickets from the TKTS booth on Times Square, oh & the circle line boat tour is good - don't bother with the tour that goes the complete circuit of Manhattan as there's not much to be seen at the top around Harlem.

Last but not least - Enjoy NYC (I'm not envious much :D )

Controversial perhaps, but don't go up the Empire State Building - go up the Rockefeller Building instead. Queues not as big, better viewing platforms and you get a view of the Empire State Building as well - which won't be in your photos if you go up the Empire State....

I'd agree with this

Thanks for the suggestions , off tomorrow morning , don't come to break in my house please , the dog may not have been fed for up to 5 days so it will be hungry

If you get this before you go.....

Check out the cost of any electronics as they're usually a lot cheaper than here.

Open Top Bus Tour on the Redline buses. Use it to get around Manhattan.

Go to Greenwich Village too.

There's Pershing Square across from Grand Central for breakfast. 3 egg omlette is good. So are their pancake or waffles with fruit.

Bryant Park.

American Museum of Natural History is amazing. That's the "Night at The Museum" Museum!

Bloomingdales and Macy's are expensive.

Go to any of the smaller malls as they're cheaper. Levi Jeans are cheap too.

Shopping is better in Soho.

Little Italy for food.

Pay a visit to Ellen's Stardust Diner if you get chance and fancy so live entertainment whilst eating.
