New WHITE Z4! Where to get a hard top?

Hi guys and gals! This is my first time here, I have just bought a Z4 yesterday after working about 65hrs a week and 6 days a week for the past 6 months(!) Anyhow, it's a White 05 BMW Z4, 2.2l, with beige hood and beige heated leather seats! The interior also has a wood trim and rear parking sensors too, although i would prefer front ones (with the gigantic shark head). I chose an automatic one because after test driving some manual ones i found it a bit too jerky (probably because of my driving) and i'm mainly going to be travelling on the motorway so nice and smooth all the way! i think the previous owner added an extra 'thingy' on my two exhausts so the growls pretty loud when u turn on the ignition and accelerating (which is good!).

Does anyone know where i can get a white hard top for it? And roughly how much they cost (in British pounds, i live in the uk). Also does my Z4 need to be prepped for hard-top fitting or do they all just fit on?

Many many thanks!!

I will post photos of the car up as soon as i have taken some!

The main reason you found the manual jerky was not down to your driving, but because of the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) fitted.

Regarding hard top prep, I beleive all UK cars are already done.

Hardtop wise keep a eye out on ebay, typical price around £850, white will be hard to find so factor in respray, but new BMW IIRC £1800

Hi and welcome to Z4 ownership. Sounds a nice combination of colour and accessories

The hardtop. Firstly all UK cars are fully prepared so you need only to drop a hood on. It will disonnect power to the roof and connect the heated rear window.

The best source is Ebay where they come up regularly at anything bewteen £750 and £900. All are in good condition as that's the way owners are and shoudl come with a storage bag. I've never seen a white one so count on respraying it. New from BMW is around £1,900

Sounds like a great car ... we'll look forward to the photos.
One comment on the hard top ... I've got one, in fact I took it off my car yesterday ... after having the soft top for most of the year, I started to get frustrated when we had a couple of nice days like this past week, that I couldn't take the roof down ... we get so few good top-less driving days in the UK! ... and the soft-top is so good anyway. So I only use mine for a couple of months a year, and I could probably make do with just the soft top. But its not for sale!!!! :driving:

What Zrkma is trying to say is :worthless:
at any rate, gratz on your new buy. I wish I would of had the patience to wait for a white Z4.

I've yet to go hardtop (granted states not UK) but i'm thinking about it. Just I don't have a garage, and too many very nice days in a Vegas winter to go topless to warrant getting a hardtop without an easy place to store it.
