I finally changed my alloys! I've been wanting new wheels since I got the car... 2years or so ago! And a opportunity came up to get some 224's from a fellow forum member johnc and I jumped on it & got them and I just finished fitting them yestertoday... & I love em! One happy chappy :D

Plus rear bumper is going in for respray today too! As I pranged it

What you guys think? :)

Look good fella. When I got my car I originally wanted CSL but liked the 224 so gave up on the idea but the want for change has come back!

Nice when new stuff gets done to your car

I love the look of 224's and they really suit your zed :)

I also noticed the special attention that had been made to the hubs and callipers, they look so much better when painted as they just finish the whole look off perfectly in my book

Thanks Swiftly, yeah they are fairly new MTEC disks and they'd gone a bit rusty aleady so I thought time to bash out the hammerite! Looks so much better now!

I had 107/103's before? (The flower one) and the difference is night an day!

Anyone know the correct tyre size for 224's? The backs poke out a little bit! lol

Yeah its rare I get new things done to the car so I'm well happy! :)

These wheels really look good on a z4. Better on a non M than an M i think.

They just look right, should have been standard on 3.0i I think ! :)

I do love the CSL look but too pricey for me! :o

Not looking forward to replacing the tyres... How long should 3mm tread all round last in months? Just to give me a rough idea when I need to look at replacing them.. :driving:

Your cars looking good MM, how's your zed drive with the LSD fitted?? Is it all sideways action? lol

I think your right they are not aggressive enough for an M car. But perfect for ours.

CSLs are great and look fantastic. But they are very common on z4s and all BMs

Depends how you drive my last set of rears lasted about 6k miles. The fronts where toast at the same mileage. But that's my fault for not getting the alignment sorted. 18" tyres are cheap as chips anyway. I just brought a full set for my 19" wheels for just over £400 Khumo cant remember what type. But i am more than impressed by there grip levels in the wet and dry.

Thanks.

The LSD is without doubt something that should be fitted as standard. Some people say you dont need them with modern technology in a car. But the car feels so much better turn in on the front axle. And yeah the back will come out but much more controllable.
