Fitted a set of genuine BMW 313M wheels with Eagle F1 AS2 tyres (F 235/35/19; R 265/30/19) and used an Eibach Pro set of spacers (F 5mm; R 12mm) with extended bolts, McGard locknuts and OEM wheel centres today - all brand new and shiny (other than the rubber!) :)

I'm well pleased with the end result!! :D

Here's the wheels and tyres waiting to go on:

I applaud your achievement in getting the car as you want it & without thought to cost but i would love to see the same pics/same stance with the original 224's on
Don't take this as criticism because its purely my own opinion but i am not a fan of the 313 wheel (on any BMW ) & for me they take away the "M"ness of the Z :(
Have you any other tweaks planned ?

TurnerSport RTAB limiters ordered and the full StongStrut system on its way then I'll see how the car behaves / handles before anything else. :)

StrongStrut a bit like this but Paul (the owner) is customising mine to have black tower rings and the rest silver.

Car with 224s, lowered with Eibach / Bilstein looked like this:

After, like this (for comparison)

The wheelstyles are so similar but i have always been a sucker for the 224's .
I hope you are keeping the original wheel's just in case you want to revert back to original

I actually prefer the larger rims on the 313s and the lower profile tyres which, to me at least, gives a much cleaner look. 8)

BTW - it was your link to the 313Ms on the thread with Sam's replicas that Terry bought that led me to contacting Adam and ending up buying them!

I will keep the 224s for a while until I'm happy with the car and how it drives / handles and then possibly sell them. In fact I need to sell loads of stuff as I also have a 3.0i Roadster and have been changing bits and bobs in that which means that I have some nearly new discs /pads / calipers from the front upgrade to 330i larger discs with RedStuff pads and a set of 108s with just a few scuffs after fitting MV1s.

I post links to all sorts of stuff if it helps folks get what they want 8) glad the link was worthwhile for you :)
Now it sounds like you need a basket of baps , some bacon, eggs + sausages & you have all the makings of a decent Z garage sale

I actually do think about cost but have always found that "you get what you pay for" and go for quality rather than buying replica gear or cheap goods. Good quality and genuine original goods are always worth the extra buck rather than copies / replicas.

So, you think my Coupe lacks "M"ness? :poke: Looks pretty good to me!

I don't think it loses the M ness....in fact I don't get why people rave on about 224's (an average wheel) especially with those tractor tyres that most have on them!?

Thank god for that I don't like them either!!!

I did say it was jmo & not said to offend  life would be pretty dull if everyone liked or did the same things so happy days to those who follow their own path 8)
I personally would never fit 19inch alloys to any E85 or E86 but that's a whole new debate

 That looks awesome, really suits the colour too, any rubbing at all?
Took it out for the 1st time today for a spin to Chester and back (26 miles each way)

Took it very steady on the way out and felt quite good, and was surprised that Mrs H commented that the ride felt very planted. :o

On the way back I chucked it about a bit more and had a bit of fun, especially when a Merc AMG suddenly pulled out as I was overtaking him and the car in front of him, blocking me, and then floored it! Needless to say, it was no contest and I didn't see much of him after that! :) Another surprise was Mrs H making a further comment of "This car is really fun" which was unexpected.

Overall, the ride is somewhat stiffer, especially over holes / bumps, but not too bad, the handling is great and no issues with rubbing at all. :D
