New wheels & Brakes fitted this weekend

Spent the day on Saturday fitting new drilled and groved Brake disc's with green stuff pads, and of couse the Spanky new LM Reps
18inc with 225/40/18 ET38 Front and 255/35/18 ET45 rear :D 8)

I stripped down all the Brake calipers last weekend and painted them in Red

Ready for the new larger 300mm Front disc's and Green stuff pads ( As fiited to the 3lt model ) I painted all the hubs of the disc's in silver, and aplired some BMW decals to the calipars 8)

Then on went the new wheels

It has a fair old wheel gap :oops:

But with the freshley painted calipares and new disc's the job is getting there :thumbsup:

The ride is good, better than i was expecting from the upgrade from the 17inc :) I just need to sort out that wheel gap which i have a set of Eibach for that little problem, i'm hopeing they do not kill the ride. i will update when that job has been done :thumbsup:
 
HOLY Wheel arch gap!!!!

The brakes, wow youve done a great job imo, really really nice! Its so satisfying to do these type of DIYs.
 
Hi what break discs did you go for and which paint for the calipars.

Nice job and like the bmw detail on calipars

The paint is just from Halford, brake calipar paint but i also had some blue paint which i mixed with it to darken the red up a tad.
The disc i will have a look and get back to you on that :thumbsup:

Also today the wheel gap has now been taken care of, all gone :) i will update with pictures soon
