bought some 19s with falken 452s on and the back end seems to kick out alot more then the bridgestone runflats.... traction control doesnt kick in as quick

putting my foot down in a straight line, it steps out ...bit like my old 2.0 zed with budget tyres on

are falkens not that great? :(
they got about 5mm left

Much softer ride though...no more crashing when I drop off the kerb
 
Strange... Normally new tyres need to scrub in, but with 5mm should be well scrubbed!

Coat they be coated in tyre dressing?

Check the tyre pressure, maybe over inflated.

No comment on falkens themselves but i'm sure thats not normal.

Hahaha..it is fun until the grounds slightly moist..not something id recommend...if I wasnt so good as recovering accidental drifts I would have crashed least 5 times in that 2.0


Oh but it makes turning in tight areas easy...foot down and u slide around
 
I've already changed my fronts to non run flats due to I didn't like the steering ,so I want to burn the rear run flats out on the rear. :evil:
I'll keep to decent rubber,it's not worth wrecking your for car is it? :thumbsup:
 
Everyone raves about Fakens,i think they are pretty poor to be honest.

I have ran them a few times on various sets of alloys and they always seem noisy and lacking grip..
 
Have had Falken's before & whilst i wasn't disappointed i wouldn't have them on by choice :roll:
Its the same old debate , other brands are better at similar money / Hankook or Vredestein in particular :thumbsup:
 
The bigger and wider the tires, the latter is the esp intervention.
On stock 17" its almost impossible to slide the cat in dtc mode, while on 18" 255s one can spin the car around in the wet before dtc kicks in.
So I imagine it will be even more tail happy on 19's.

PMSL :rofl: ....Remind me to keep out of your way when you are on the road. Once is an accident, twice is careless, 3 times shows you have not learnt a thing from the first two, and more than 5 times........... Sounds like you shouldn't have a licence rather than an issue with tyres and grip.... :thumbsup:

Let me clarify, I don't drive like a dickkhead :evil:
but going round a roundabout at slow speeds in traffic then the backend just deciding to slide out is not my idea of fun

never ever had a near miss with another vehicle and I never tail gait nor overtake unless its completely safe to do so.
 
Assuming you've checked pressures, residual coating etc - a long shot, but are the rear tyres on the right way round?

I haven't checked pressures yet, I'll do this when I get the opportunity (revising business law and financial reporting constantly)
 
Had 452's on my roadster and now on my coupe and have had no issues with them been tail happy (unless provoked) i'm running 18's,there should be a mark on the sidewall showing the direction of rotation it has been known for tyre companies to fit tyres on the wrong way round hope you get is sorted :thumbsup:

Yeah, that's right. If the tread is an arrow, the arrow points in the direction of rotation.
 
Seriously never had my Falkens break away with the nanny buttons on, when provoked you get a quick twitch then the dash lights/system kicks in before it's even started, but that's on 17"s.
