New wheel from Royals but !!

Glad somebody's getting a good deal out of it:D i couldn't live with it, it would just annoy me every time i got in the car:cry:
Got the new one today and it perfect doesn't smell quite as nice as the last one:roll:
I would still highly recommend Royals so someone had a bad day when they did mine and it went to an OCD nut these things happen all sorted out in the end

Do they keep wheels in stock to do the work on an exchange basis? Mine is my daily driver so cant be without it but really want one of these.

Yes they do you say what you want and they will send you the wheel first you pay £100 deposit which you get back when you send your old wheel back to them within 7 days

So i just had an e-mail back from Royals and they are sending my replacement steering wheel tomorrow,( just under a month since i ordered the first one) i got the feeling they were not in any rush to replace it and took it personally that i complained about the equality, hopefully it will be all ok this time

Better to wait a little longer and get it perfect than constantly get wound up seeing it every time you drove the car. Fingers crossed it's all good this time and if it's not get them to do it again.

The new steering wheel is back up to Royals very high standards
Very happy :Di'm glad i did get it changedsynu6ynu.jpg

It's not something that will bother me so I contacted Jack and we arranged a suitable deal, they tried to deliver today but I've rearranged the delivery for Friday as I'll be here to sign for it.

To be fair i was in 2 minds whether to keep it or not , it really isn't that bad
Most people wouldn't even notice it!!!! very happy you got a good deal out of it:D:D
Sounds like everyone's a winner8-)

Morning All,

Slightly off topic, but I assume those of you who have had your steering wheels refurbed have also repainted the plastic parts, how have you manged to remove the "Soft touch" coating from the spoke covers and switches before priming and painting.

Stu.
I used fine wire wool and it came off easy!

Thanks Swiftly - I'll go and have a look, as a matter of interest how much are a new set of plastic parts?

Stu.

They are a crazy price even with a forum discount from Sopers, for what are basically a few bits of plastic! Can't remember the exact figure off the top of my head, but you can kiss goodbye to 100 quid! I think they were worth it, but guess others would think differently : :D
