New Wheel coating/protection

I’ve got a new set of wheels arriving at some point soon and want to give them a protective coating before getting the tyres fitted.

I’ve searched on here and the one that seems to get quite a few recommendations is Gtechniq C5 but these posts are a couple of years old. Is there anything new to the market that’s better or is this still the most preferred product?

There are so many products on the market these days but a decent sealant or wheel wax will help keep them looking good and no need for fancy wheel cleaners just your regular bodywork shampoo but I find the best way to keep alloys tip top is not to let them get really filthy for to long as baked on brake dust is a bitch to remove I have even given my wheels a quick wash before a long run during the winter and left the rest of the car

I do very much the same. Always clean the wheels even if not the rest of the car.
Have to say I was recommended Poorboys Sealant and it certainly does the trick for me.

I also find, on my E89, that turning off the traction control thingummy halves the amount of brake dust on the rear wheels!

As above I wash my wheels frequently, though I use simple car shampoo. Only takes a few minutes that way and keeps them looking decent.
