Finally got around to driving the car today after having four new conti runflats fitted on Monday. I weighed up the idea of going with Michelin but decided to stick with conti's have these fitted to the E270 Merc and 911 and have been very happy with them (albeit not runflats). My wife (who although she's a good safe driver isnt interested in dynamics) commented that the car felt "more slid and safer", how true she was, a large improvement in ride compared to the originals, quieter in terms of road noise, sharper turn in but more grip (its been raining heavily today in the UK) and best of all much nicer steering feel. Maybe the Bridgestones were starting from a poor position with close to 25k miles on them (but even so the fronts had lots of tread left), who knows now. I got all four fitted at home by Event Tyres for £487 inc VAT for 17".
