New Tyres ....

So I had all season tyres fitted (with snowflake symbol) My contis were pretty bald  and not much help in the snow.

I had kleb quadraxer on 17's fitted.

However when he came to fit them he commented that 2 of my alloys were really quite badly buckled and he moved the buckled wheels to both rears, whereas before they were both on the left. I noticed steering feeling like s**t before but put it down to tramlining.

At my MOT he mentioned it but said it was OK. I have been planning to get some yummy CSL 18s in spring.

Anyway, since fitting, I've noticed really awful vibration above 70

Is it just my wheels being fuked?

I'm a bit scared after a wheel fell off my Beetle while I was driving it

Probably is just the wheels, although surprised they managed to get them balanced.

When they're off, you could pop them down to Lepson's in Swindon - did a great refurb on my 18s, fantastic work on Daveg's and sorted my mate's buckled XKR wheel.

CSLs

Ohhh thanks! Plan is to keep the 17's and all s's for next winter, so worth investment.

He was such a nice chap that fitted, I'd gotten used to to the wandering feeling

i had a buckled front wheel on my last car... i moved it to the rear and above 70 it would give me a vibration.. like a back massage!!

Only way to correct it is try to get someone to straighten it out...

I also had a wheel fall off on my Celica many years ago.. after a mate forgot to do the bolts up properly... i now am so paranoid i check my bolts are secure atleast monthly!
