new tyres ordered

Well just ordered a set of new f2 asymmetric 's
In z4m sizes 255/40/18 & 225/45/18
Hopefully give a better quality of ride and lower the noise level...

Hope I've done the right thing.....can anyone vouch for these.

F2 Assymetrics?? Are you sure??

I can certainly vouch for the F1 Assymetrics - I only have them on the front so far but they transformed mine.

Interesting stripler . . . .

I've been using GoodYear Eagle F1 Assymetrics 2s (that's where you've probably got the 2 from) for some time and although they need a few hundred miles of running in they are an excellent tyre and quiet - also good in the wet (all vouched for on stormy hoons in Wales and fast runs in the North East). Thanks to Swiftly for the initial recommendation.

My rears are coming down to 3mm and fronts on 4mm so I'm just pricing up the cost of a replacement set of ///M size tyres. This is because over winter I used ///M size winter tyres and it did offer a better ride quality (and in my view the higher side wall looks better - never been a fan of liquorice tyres)

Problem is the increased cost going to the ///M size:

GoodYear Eagles £379.36 a set for my 3.0si Moving to ///M sizes costs a whopping £483.98

Took a look at Pilot Sport 3 - £394.68 a set and moving to ///M sizes £524.16

Disappointed - I think I'll be replacing OEM sizes.

A set of Hankook Ventus or Vredestein Vortis can be had in M sizes for £400 from Tyreleader
I doubt you would be disppointed with either of those choices Paul & road comfort is increased noticeably as you've seen

Need to replace my rears in the not too distant and likely will get these, or may consider trying some Continental Sport Contact 5's which i also highly rate.
