So SWMBO is away with work for one day/evening and I manage to go get myself in trouble. Found this beauty advertised 10 minutes away (great luck as I really am in the middle of nowhere ).

I've given up waiting for nice weather and the roads to be fixed to drive the zed so now I can thrash some trails once again, all weather on this. Chuffed to bits with it, got it for a great price. Components are pretty basic but fundamentally the frame is brilliant. Love the anodised blue splashed about.

I know there's a few roadies on here .. But any XC/ AM riders on here? Now I need to find some decent trails near Newbury, although have a daily to shove it in to drive places afar.

 just waiting for the bollocking when she gets home tomorrow!

You are a brave man do remember to wear a helmet....

Then buy another one for after she get back and breaks your head and you get a chance to go cycling... :P

I'm thinking a wish I had some body armour ... For when she gets back too. Joking aside, helmet always. Had too many close calls years back on bikes. Chatting to the guy a bought it off and both agreed when you're no longer 16 you tend to think about what you're doing a hell of a lot more ... Used to just throw myself down hills with an idea of what was on the way down but just the logic of jumping and trying to land it. Different story now ... Too worried about breaking bones

LMFAO! Good work, the Trance is a nice ride...You were more restrained than I was when I bought my toy a little while ago so maybe you can use that as a positive?

Just got her back from major overhaul so planning a big trip this summer if work stays out of the way...or I might cheat and organise it as a work team building thing....hmmm

I used to do a lot of XC and down hill all over the uk and the alps. I stooped down hill when my body stooped recovering so quickly. And when i got stabbed by my own brake lever after 10ft drop off went wrong!!

I still have a specialized enduro haven't ridden it for ages. I live in Oxforshire and there is nothing local that's going to get your adrenaline going. Cleave hill can be fun but you want to get to wales Cwm Carn is the closest and good fun.

Lol I am alive guys, she isn't too bothered. I don't have much to pin on her unfortunately ... Her hobby is golf (she's tiny unlike most female golfers ...) Have a house full of taylormade gear but it is all perks of her job.

Just going to take it for a spin ... I live the specialized bikes guys, I had a hardrock for years and upgrades bits and bibs but the wheelset finally failed after a rebuild so this didn't cost much more than a group set and wheel set for the hard rock.

Good to see some fellow bikers on here. Miss living in the north west , so much to do up there. Then Cannock chase whilst I lived in brum was pretty good.

I love Cannock! Up there most weekends when I can, either there or Forest of Dean. Don't know where's good in Berks to be honest. Always up for a ride though.

Forest of Dean is ok some nice short runs. That's where I stabbed myself

I will have to get back out on mine get some miles done before I agree to meet up for a ride!!

I used to ride a lot of downhill, and dual slalom etc, with a lot of XC training to keep me fit. That was many years ago.... :(

That bike looks sweet
