Nothing to do with the zed, not even a car... but I'm a very happy bunny after my new toy arrived home:

This will have to keep me occupied until my zed bits arrive!

Anyone else here play?

I took lessons at school, and gave up. I wish I'd kept it up now.

That there, is a thing of beauty

Yeah, I'm really happy with it. I had it rebuilt by a great luthier to exactly the spec I wanted... sounds sweet.

I did much the same as you, Stuart. Played the guitar as a teenager, but gave up when I discovered pubs and cars (not particularly in that order and not at the same time)! Took it back up as a hobby a couple of years back. It's now a proper addiction rather than a hobby. Can anyone else see a pattern here...

Beautiful. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra but shamefully I haven't played for six months or so.

Is that the one that connects direct to a PC? What finish is it?

Nice piece of kit

Brother was a guitar player, but I can't play to save myself

Yes indeed. And without that man, my guitar wouldn't have existed. Les Paul = Genius. Sad day to the guitar world when he passed away... was still playing right up until he died.

My madness is camera gear (the Zed doesn't even come close) I may have spent more on Cameras, Lenses and accessories than I did on the car.

Been there too. I resisted forever moving from SLRs to digital SLRs because of all of the kit I had. I kept with Canons so I could reuse some of the lenses, but have got a bag full of filters and stuff which is all redundant with Photoshop and the like. Keep meaning to stick it on eBay to see if anyone still has use for the lo-fi stuff!

Ooh, If you've got FD gear (pre EF/EOS) PM me a list. I have a Canon T90, which is still one of their better film cameras...

In fact feck it, PM me a list of what you want to get rid of.

Very nice
Have a lot of friends in local bands, found out early i have no musical talent
But i get into a lot of gigs for free cause "i'm with the band"

PM sent!

I know nothing about guitars, but I have heard of Gibsons and yours has lots of knobs on it so it must be extra good, how about a Z4-Forum theme tune? :D

I remember a T.V. interview with Mr Paul. And what was even more impressive than the guitar. Was some the electro rhythm accompaniment gizmo he put inside his guitar. He wouldn't say a word in the interview about how it worked. He just started playing and a background rhythm joined in. How cool is that.

I've never been into guitars, but was sad to see these babies go...
