You will see the E89 Z4 is only listed under CIC and not under NBT.

Oh Im not saying I think its actually NBT... but it is possible it could have the newer connector. An iterative change on CIC. I just want to verify before buying anything thats all.

No harm in doing that and it's pretty easy to do, just remove the panel surrounding the radio with some plastic pry tools and then remove the 4 screws to remove the radio and you will get access to the connectors on the back. You may need to remove the gear lever knob to give you better access.

Yup! Had to pull it to replace the GPS antenna recently so I will get around to this at some point. Appreciate all the info!
