Im in the minority by a long way,bit i just dont like Chris Harris...

No I have to agree with you Gaz, he does'nt seem to have much personality to me, not good for mainstream TV.

Stick Mike Brewer on, he'd get it up and rocking...

Chris Evans is just so everywhere at the moment, but then the BBC will have the perfect puppet in Mr Evans, I doubt he will step out of line, hopefully he will concentrate on the cars and not himself..we will see. I remember the German bird when she did the ring drive, don't know why they couldn't use a homegrown driver.
Can't say I know the other chap.

Looking forward to the New start. Interested to see how DC aka the Jaw, fits into the line up. Plus the Ginger one can be very irritating at times, so fingers crossed the new team can pull in off.

Don't you remember the no-show's when he was the breakfast DJ on Radio 1 & eventual firing, mind you he does seem to be a bad-boy-gone-good these days.

I'm looking forward to this, the old TG format was tired & in need of freshening up, I'm really hoping it's more about cars than personalities.

I do hope the star in a reasonably priced car feature remains though.

.

Can't say I do, mind I am quite young

I'm quite looking forward to seeing how that goes, main plus is that they can all drive and they have decent experience...

Yeah not sure how the personalities will gel but hopefully they wont conform to the school boy gang setup (the bully, the brain, the bully's arselicker).

... I hope they've included n'ring head to head challenges for ch vs ss, now that would be interesting :driving:

Interesting line up - I like Chris Harris (for those who don't know who he is search his name on youtube - his review of the Ferrari 488 is a good place to start), but the dynamics between the new presenters is an unknown, and it's important, because that's what worked so well with the old team IMO.

Pretty good line up should be pretty entertaining I always enjoy Chris Harris videos on You Tube.

I dont mind Chris Evans either even if he can go on at times. He is a big petrol head I actually think he will do a decent job on Top Gear.

+1

Will make a change from the moth eaten saggy lot that have gone.

Looks like a great line up to me - possibly better then the recently departed line up.

Perhaps Top Gear may be a car programme once again....

I think Chris Harris is one of the best video auto journalists there is, he is also liked and respected by the right manufacturers. He and his team managed to get Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren to test their hypercars against each other and do it in such a way that you felt that indeed there was no real winner, if you want to see him at his very best.

I do hope though that his team will be joining him too. As for Sabine, she can certainly drive and it will be interesting how she interacts with the other guys. I think what I do like about the new presenters, they are very clearly petrol heads and not in it just for the money. I think Clarkson lost his way and we put up with it because he had personality

I love that video sars, I can watch it again and again. I think as long as the actual show format is good and they don't force them to do stupid things like the old top gear, then it could be decent! I'm wondering if Clarkson and co might flop on amazon?

This - I'm afraid the program had begun to be about the egos of the three of them - when they first came on the show was brilliant the DB9 against the train to monte carlo was a masterclass as was Clarkson's tribute to the supercar .

it just got stale .

So it's been confirmed or still rumours? I'm a fan of mentioned anyway! Not had much experience with Evans as a non-Brit but thanks to the Internet and F1 I know everyone else pretty well!

I'll wait till the first show is aired and pass judgment then.

I'm not a Chris Evans fan but we'll see how the presenters blend together which will make or break it I think

Pretty pleased about this - I do like Chris Harris and enjoyed watching him wind up Tiffany Dell last night on 5th Gear - and can see him doing the same with other co-presenters - as I like most things German I'm sure Sabine will give a good European flavour to things.

Think my least favourite will be Evans but I admire his (over?) enthusiasm and he's clearly popular - funny how his bad boy times of 3 day benders with Gascoigne etc. have been forgotten (are people on here really that young) as many have said TG could well be about cars and driving again ! Bring it on. :driving:

Cheers for sharing that video, was a brilliant watch, can't believe he managed to pull off something top gear weren't allowed to do. I'd not watched any of his videos before so will be checking out more of them while im off work, definitely looking forward to the new top gear, maybe more than the new Clarkson show now

Me too and he makes it look easy, the cinematography is sublime in my opinion, however it's their conclusion that nails it for me
